Where To Start??
It's been so long since I've sat here and done anything other than search job postings and submit my resume...I almost forgot how to log in so I could post.Lots has happened since the 11th, when I posted last. The past 17 days have been filled with several interviews and some surprising turns of fate in my damn divorce.
Let's start with discussing the interviews...I've been back to see the first company that I spoke with. The second interview was with their VP of Operations and it was one of the shortest interviews I've ever had (only about a half hour or so), it felt like I was being shot at by a firing squad...lots of questions, one right after the other...all in all not a good vibe. Either way, I should hear from them this week.
The second company had me in for another round of interviews also...I spoke with 7 people over almost 5 hours. Each person I spoke with, from their Director of Operations to their Lead Council (lawyer) to the hiring manager for the position, seemed to be relaxed and interested in learning more about me than just what the resume said...all in all a really great vibe. I am looking forward to hearing from them this week.
Now for the important update...my own personal painbow...the divorce from hell. About 10 days ago, my lawyer received a call from TB's lawyer saying that the correct settlement papers were being signed and would be sent over right away. Well, Thursday the papers finally arrived at my lawyers. We spent a half hour on Friday morning going through the papers, line by line, to insure their content and much to my surprise they were finally correct!! I immediately signed off on them and watched as my lawyer handed the papers to a messenger for delivery to the judge. As of Friday afternoon, the judge has the final paperwork and she just needs to sign off on them and this is finally over. Yes, I did say finally over. We expect that the judge will do her part this week...making this week one of the best weeks of my entire life (finally ending the divorce and getting a new job (I hope!!)).
I'm off to spend some time catching up on everythig that you all have posted and then sleeping a bit. Tomorrow morning I take my Son fishing for the first time. I hope that you all have been enjoying the views before you...I have been trying to enjoy mine.
